In celebration of its 4th anniversary, staffing firm Mass Power Services Pte Ltd organised its third annual seminar for its clients with a critical insight given by guest speaker Han Kok Kwang on the topic of talent management.
Mr Han is Founder and Director of Personal Mastery Resources, a company that focuses on employee performance solutions. The speaker engaged the participants of the seminar with a resounding and in-depth perspective of how business and people leaders can boost staff and develop motivated talent today.
The first local staffing company to achieve the People Developer Standard, a certification scheme that recognizes organisations that bring out the best in people for better business results, Mass Power Services is a leading provider of talent management solutions, executives and skilled workers today. It plays the human capital consultancy and service provider role to not just multinational companies but also local enterprises and government agencies.
Mass Power Services’ annual seminars have always been held as a token of appreciation to its loyal clientele in view of sharing valuable HR knowledge with them, and for this year, the topic dwelled on talent management because of its extreme relevance in the market today, explained Mr Raymond Chan, Director of Mass Power Services.
No doubt HR practitioners today share the same sentiments on talent recruitment and retention with the staffing company, for the event witnessed a keen turn-out, where participants readily shared experiences with one another.
In the knowledge-based economy, the ability to translate talent potential into profits and performance dictates organisational success or failure. With no sign of an easing in the labour market, the clear message to employers is that poor talent management will almost inevitably lead to key employees heading for the door.
Mr Han, author of best-seller So What If you Don’t Have a Degree?, BEYOND BUZZWORDS and No Job? No Problem!, pointed out that employers need to have an A.C.E practice, that involves Achievement, Camaraderie and Equity. “By empowering staff, building team spirit and giving fair appraisal and evaluation on performances, employees will thus be able to be motivated and strive towards being the kind of talent leaders seek”, he explained.
Mass Power began in 2003 as a four-man firm before expanding to become a leading recruitment company with 20 consultants today. It offers a wide range of staffing services, which includes permanent placement, temporary/contract placement, executive search, international recruitment (China, India, Malaysia and the Philippines) for businesses across diverse industries. On top of these, Mass Power Services also offers HR consultancy and payroll services, outplacement services and services for online work permit application.
